Kitchen Benchtop Details
We’re a bit enthusiastic about your kitchen benchtop. Why?
For a start, there are wonderful materials to choose from:
Granite is one of the hardest Nature-made benchtop materials, and each slab of granite is unique. It used to be a higher-cost option for bespoke kitchens but today’s technological advancements have lowered the cost.
Engineered stone is a man-made stone slab, 94% crushed quartz. It’s formed under extreme pressure, making it strong and durable. It’s three times less likely to bend than granite, while being lighter than granite. Engineered stone is hygienic, non-absorbent, and stain/impact/scratch-resistant. We recommend you check this one out (plus all the others) in our Christchurch kitchen showroom.
Acrylic is made from acrylic resin. It’s nonporous, stain resistant and strong. Your benchtop can be made in almost any colour and even personalised with decorative effects. It’s easy to clean, easily repairable, and has seamless joins.
Formica/Laminex/HPL (High Pressure Laminate) benchtops are durable and immensely practical. They resist scratches, stains, moisture, and impacts, and are available in a wide range of on-trend colours and finishes.
Then, once you’ve decided on a benchtop material, you can further personalise your kitchen with different colour options, textures, finishes, edging options and just the right benchtop thickness.
That’s plenty of reasons for Kitchen Concepts to love kitchen benchtops, isn’t it?
